About

I am a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Calicut. My research field is fluid dynamics, wherein I am interested in understanding the fundamental mechanism of fluid flows through experiments. The common theme of my research is the dynamics of the liquid-gas interface, and the problems are inspired by environmental and industrial applications, encompassing broad length scales ranging from micrometres to planetary length.
I received PhD in 2018 from the Department of Applied Mechanics, Indian Institute of Technology Madras, working with Prof. Baburaj A P as the thesis advisor and Prof. Emil J Hopfinger of LEGI-CNRS Grenoble as the collaborator. Before joining NIT Calicut, I was a Post Doctoral Fellow working with Prof. Vishal Vasan at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research during 2018-2022.
